The Bishkek Liberal Arts Seminar (BLAS) series invites academics outside of Kyrgyzstan to share their research with żÃÛ¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ students, typically on topics and using methodologies not currently present at żÃÛ¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½. The primary aim of this series is to provide an opportunity for students to engage with different subjects and approaches potentially beneficial for their studies and their curiosity.

The Orientation program is designed to help TALENT students navigate in the new academic environment, get to know the program curriculum, faculty members, university support offices and our European partners.

Today, September 23, as Kyrgyzstan celebrates the Kyrgyz Language Day, żÃÛ¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½â€™s Writing and Academic Resource Center (WARC) is glad to announce that its WARC Kyrgyz Language Tutorials––free videos that provide instruction in Kyrgyz vocabulary and grammar––have returned for a second semester of filming.

The Liberal Arts and Sciences department has launched four new and innovative concentrations. These concentrations are not only new to żÃÛ¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½, but also the whole region. They are Digital Cultures, Environmental and Urban Studies, Literature and History, Peace, and Conflict Studies.

Dr. Bermet Tursunkulova is well known to the żÃÛ¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ community as she has been a professor in the Department of International and Comparative Politics since 2005. She also ably served as the Vice President for Academic Affairs from 2008-2015.
